5,800 Homes Along Doi Canal to Be Relocated as Pham The Hien Street Widens to 30 Meters

Ho Chi Minh City has approved a project to upgrade 8.8 km of the southern bank of the Doi Canal with total investment of about VND 49 trillion.

The project is expected to affect more than 7,160 households, of which nearly 5,800 homes will have to be fully cleared to make way for construction.

Under the plan, Pham The Hien Street will be widened to 30 meters, three times its current width, significantly improving transport infrastructure and the urban landscape along the Doi Canal.
